Sean Paul, Keyshia Cole’s Give It Up To Me races back onto charts

In 2006 Sean Paul teamed with R&B singer Keyshia Cole for the song When You Gonna (Give it Up To Me), which was featured on the soundtrack of the film Step Up.

Produced by Donovan “Don Corleon” Bennett, the song rocked the charts and reached as far as #3 on the Billboard Hot 100 while maintaining a presence on multiple Billboard charts as well as several charts across Europe.

Now, 20 years later, the song has received a new lease on life, thanks to a TikTok dance craze. Since the start of 2026, the track has gained significant momentum across streaming platforms fuelled largely by TikTok discovery. The song has generated over 40 million new streams worldwide since January 1, signalling a powerful resurgence driven by a new generation of listeners alongside long-time fans.

When You Gonna (Give it Up to Me) debuted at #53 on the UK Singles chart last Friday. It peaked at #31 in 2006. It is currently #145 on Billboard’s Global 200, #74 on Global 200 Excluding US, #26 in Austria, #44 in Czech Republic, #12 in Greece, #71 in Ireland, #17 in Lithuania, #52 in Norway, #39 in Poland, #6 in Romania, #26 in Slovakia, and #46 in Sweden.

Moving now to the Billboard Rhythmic Airplay chart, Boom Body by Shaggy, Akon, and Aidonia slips from #33 to #32 in its third week.

On the Billboard Reggae Albums chart, Bob Marley and the Wailers continue to dominate the #1 spot with
Legend. The rest of the chart remains unmoved from last week.

The Fire Inside by Jazmin Headley, featuring Richie Stephens and Bounty Killer, spends another week at #1 on the Reggae North Canadian Top 20 chart. How Sweet It Is by Jah Cutta is at #2, while Show Us The Way by Eddie Bullen, featuring Kandice KASH, Tasha T, and Mel Dube, is #3, and Wheel and Come Again by Skystar holds the #4 spot. Protect Us by I Noah completes the Top 5.

Feels Like a Movie by JUNO nominee Celena remains at #1 on the Rebel Vibez Top Ten Canadian Reggae chart, while Skystar’s Wheel and Come Again and Show Us The Way by Eddie Bullen are #2 and #3. Forever More by Jurney Star remains at #4, and Get High by Mirian Katrib, Irie Souljah, and Reggaddiction slips to #5.

George Nooks spends a second week at #1 on the New York Reggae chart with Your Grace and Mercy, while Shuga’s cover of Montego Bay surges to #2.

Kingston Town by Etana is on the move at #10, while Faith We A Keep by Sean Paul steps up to #19.

This week’s new entries are Where My Heart Belong by Gramps Morgan (#27), Caah Believe by Chezidek (#28), Judas by Leba (#29) and Tracks of My Tears by Singing Melody (#30).

Meanwhile, over on the South Florida Reggae chart, Mental Health Awareness by Hopeton Lindo and Anthony Malvo spend a second week on top.
