Four charged after armed robbery at bar in St Ann
ST ANN, Jamaica—Four men have been charged with multiple offences following an armed robbery in Beecher Town, St. Ann, on Sunday, April 5.
They are 39-year-old Ricardo Thompson, 24-year-old Rodean Brown, and 33-year-old Niecko Nelson, all of Spanish Town, as well as 28-year-old Romeo Matthews of Red Hills, St Andrew.
Reports from the St Ann’s Bay police are that about 10:30 pm, the men allegedly entered a bar armed with guns.
They reportedly robbed patrons of electronic devices, cash, and took alcoholic beverages valued at approximately $800,000 before fleeing the area.
The incident was reported to the police, and an investigation was launched.
During the investigation, the men were arrested and charged with robbery with aggravation, conspiracy to commit robbery with aggravation, possession of a prohibited weapon, using a firearm to commit a felony, possession of criminal property, transferring criminal property, being part of a criminal organisation, and facilitating the commission of an offence, following identification parades.
Their court dates are being arranged.
