SOL Harbour welcomes homeowners
ST ANN, Jamaica — Individuals who purchased a property at the SOL Harbour development were hosted by PROVEN Properties Limited on Saturday, for an evening celebration at the SOL Harbour Clubhouse and Pool Terrace in Ocho Rios.
The event marked the official welcome home for purchasers of the landmark development in which units were marketed for personal use or rental income, including platforms like Airbnb.
Proven Properties Executive Director Peter Bunting highlighted the compelling investment case underpinning SOL Harbour, noting that approximately 30 per cent of Jamaica’s stopover arrivals now stay at short-term rental properties and that St Ann Airbnb properties command a 60 per cent premium over other locations across the island.
CEO of PROVEN Properties Aisha Campbell thanked Sol Harbour homeowners for trusting in PROVEN Properties.
With an audience of approximately 200 guests from Jamaica and the diaspora against the backdrop of a Caribbean sunset over the Ocho Rios harbour, guests were treated to a curated evening featuring live music from the Silver Birds Pan Orchestra, a signature cocktail reception, and a formal programme that included addresses from senior PROVEN Properties leadership and a special address from the Member of Parliament for St Ann North East , Minister Matthew Samuda.
Bunting encouraged owners to approach their units as actively managed businesses rather than passive holdings, and to embrace their role as hosts and ambassadors for Jamaica’s tourism brand.
Aisha Campbell, Chief Executive Officer, PROVEN Properties Limited, said SOL Harbour is testament to the “world-class living, thoughtfully delivered” solutions the company believes the Jamaican market deserves.
MP Matthew Samuda shared that he looked forward to the continued development of St Ann North East.
“To see this community come together this evening is everything we worked for. With fewer than five units remaining, the message to anyone still considering is simple: the time is now,” Campbell said.
Meanwhile, Samuda added that developments like SOL Harbour “are precisely what the north coast of Jamaica needs”, adding
“I am proud to see PROVEN Properties leading the way, and I look forward to not one more development of this scale. I am looking forward to 20 more seven stories.”
Chris Nakash, chairman of PROVEN Properties Limited, meanwhile noted that: “SOL Harbour represents our commitment to building communities that stand the test of time. This is the first development of this kind in 40 years. The confidence shown by every purchaser in this room is the foundation upon which PROVEN Properties continues to build.”
Keisha Bailey and Dr Danielle Robinson stopped to post for a quick picture at the Sol at Sunset welcome home.
Target Planning and Resource Services CEO Mitchell Watson shares a laugh with Instinct Media CEO Rupert Campbell.
SOL Harbour comprises 140 studio apartments and 12 two-bedroom apartments across two seven-storey buildings, with amenities including a pool terrace, clubhouse, and landscaped gardens overlooking the Ocho Rios harbour.
With amenities such as two pools, a clubhouse and only minutes away from Island Village, Dolphin Cove and Dunn’s River, organisers say it’s ideally located.
