Winners of Mr and Miss Supranational Jamaica titles to be announced on Sunday

There are 10 finalists competing for the 2026 Mister and Miss Supranational Jamaica titles. The winners will be announced in a boutique-style event this Sunday, May 31 at the Louise Bennett Garden Theatre on Hope Road in Kingston.

The finalists have been going through weeks of training and preparation for the finals. They recently spent a weekend at the Princess Hotel & Resorts in Hanover where they did an impromptu fashion show as well as a photo shoot.

Serene Lloyd, the public relations manager for the resort, was excited to have hosted the contestants.

“It was an absolute pleasure to host the contestants here. It’s an opportunity to show them our destination and the luxury experience that Princess is known for. They have an amazing audience as well and we want their audience to see the beauty of our properties and come to experience it as well,” Lloyd told Observer Online recently.

She added, “Hosting them has been fabulous, we’re excited to have them. They’ve been around the property and interacting with our team members, experiencing the beach, the sun, food and beverage offerings and we are truly happy to have them.”

Barbie Mudahy, pageant coordinator for Mr and Miss Supranational Jamaica spoke about the crop of contestants and their readiness for Sunday’s coronation.

“The finalists are looking really strong this year. What stands out most is the diversity in personality, confidence and overall presence. Everyone has been growing throughout the process, so it’s no longer just about appearance, you’re really seeing people step into themselves and become more polished, more comfortable and more prepared each week,” said Mudahy.

“Training has been very rewarding and well-rounded. Every week, the contestants are exposed to different areas of development, from grooming to fitness, communication, wellness, and personal growth. A lot of work goes into training and preparing the contestants and the production itself, so patrons can always expect a very exciting and memorable show,” Mudahy continued.

Mudahy gave an insight into some of the training sessions and the presenters who have interfaced with the contestants.

“The Design Essentials team has been working closely with the ladies, and even some of the gentlemen, teaching them how to care for their hair and maintain healthy hair, while also actively styling and managing their hair throughout the competition. Marcia Lindgaard Calendar has really opened her services and skills to us in that area, and we’re very thankful for that.  Hair and scalp care has also been a meaningful part of the training, and the contestants benefited from a very informative session with trichologist Karl Richmond, who helped them better understand proper hair and scalp health,” she said.

“We’ve also had the HEART College of Beauty Services working with the gentlemen, providing barbers to groom and style them, and supporting their overall grooming and presentation throughout the competition. They also had speech training with Adrian Atkinson, and that has been extremely valuable because it helps the contestants build their confidence and strengthen their communication skills.

“Fitness is a major focus for every contestant in pageantry, and the contestants have had the benefit of access to Fit Farm Fitness Centre. They also learned not only about fitness and health, but also some personal protection skills, so that was very helpful for them,” Mudahy added.

She said Belinda Sutherland-Dowe from Tourism Product Development Company Limited also took them through tourism awareness, the history of tourism and how to sell Jamaica.

The female contestants in Miss Supranational Jamaica 2026 are Deborah Gordon — Dacx Production; Melissa Oliver — Fit Farm Fitness Club; Rasheda Green — Design Essentials; and Antonni James — Glam by O’Neil.

The male contestants in Mr Supranational Jamaica 2026 are Jordain Chambers — Atelier Dermoth Williams Limited; Kasheem Green — The Dental Place; Leopold Smith — All Signs; Laurence Pinnock — Cooyah; Sean-Pierre Coke — Knutsford Express; and Andrew Brown — The Prom Shoppe.
