Bruce Bowen re-elected JBA president

KINGSTON, Jamaica — Scotiabank Jamaica boss Bruce Bowen was unanimously re-elected president of the Jamaica Bankers Association (JBA) at the association's annual general meeting last week.
Bowen, the president and chief executive officer of Bank of Nova Scotia Jamaica Ltd, lauded the JBA's performance over the past year in support of economic growth and the reduction of interest rates.
He also praised the JBA's accomplishments in promoting customer awareness in the prevention of cybercrimes and financial fraud.
Looking forward to another term in office, he pledged the JBA's collaboration with the Bank of Jamaica and other industry players in the expansion of mobile financial services and the implementation of credit bureau services.
