When it comes to fashion Terri Karelle Reid is on top of her game, copping the title of Miss Jamaica World in 2005, she is now the general manager of Spartan Health Club and Pageant director for Miss Jamaica World. Her other duties include host of Digicel Rising Starsand co-host of FAME FM’s Uncensored.

Business aside Terri likes to “let down her hair” and live life to the fullest.

In describing herself she says “I am extremely extroverted, warm and bubbly — fool-fool even. I cherish my relationships with God, family and close friends. In my spare time, I love delivering motivational speeches in schools and other workshops.” On Thursday, September 8, Jamaica Observer celebrates Fashion’s Night Out and of course Terri just had to share some of her fashion secrets. Terri describes her fashion style as “comfy chic” with her favourite designer coming from our own local shores.

“As much as one would naturally look toward the international, famous brands, I actually love our local designers UZURI International. According to her they have an amazing ability to fuse beautiful colours, sequins, gems, feathers and “top off designs that create a flattering silhouette!”

When selecting her dress ensemble Terri is cognisant of the occasion. “If it’s a cocktail event, I would naturally go for skinny jeans, fitted blouse and blazer. If it’s cocktail… definitely fitted, pencil/hobble fitted dress… but I always go for my heels first she said with a smile.

Choosing her favourite scent is not easy though as she is torn between… well she settles on a tie — Jean Paul Gautier and Gucci.

On those lazy casual days when she doesn’t have a fashion agenda in mind then Terri enjoys ‘slumming’ by throwing on “distressed jeans, tank tops or logo tees and sandals by Jamaica’s own Bridget.”
