Firearm seized in St Ann

THE Police yesterday seized an illegal firearm in Thicketts district, Discovery Bay, St Ann. No arrest was made in connection with the seizure.

Police report that about 8:45 pm, they were on patrol in the community when they were fired at by a group of men. The lawmen returned the fire and men ran in different directions. During a search of the area, the officers found a 9mm Smith and Wesson pistol loaded with eleven 9mm rounds.

The Discovery Bay Police are investigating.
