Government appoints new HEART Trust/NTA board
MINISTER of Education, Andrew Holness, has appointed a new board of directors for the Human Employment and Resource Training Trust/National Training Agency, more popularly known as the HEART Trust/NTA.

The new board, which has a term of three years, started its tenure on March 21.
“It is anticipated that the new board will lead the charge to make the HEART Trust/NTA a more responsive, performance-driven organisation,” said the ministry in a statement this evening.
An agency of the education ministry, the HEART Trust/NTA is responsible for the overall development of the Jamaican workforce. It provides training in the workplace and in technical, vocational and education training (TVET) institutions.
The board will determine overall strategy and policies on business directions, financial objectives, control and performance, and resource allocation.
