Hanover crash claims taxi driver
HANOVER, Jamaica — Fifty-nine-year-old Alrick James, a taxi operator of Tigress Lane, Negril in Westmoreland died as a result of injuries he received in a motor vehicle collision on the Sandy Bay main road, Hanover yesterday.
The Sandy Bay police said that James’ Toyota Corolla motor car collided with a motor truck about 3:15 pm. The police were summoned and James, the driver of the motor truck and his passenger were taken to hospital, where James was pronounced dead. The driver of the motor truck and his passenger were uninjured.
The truck driver has since been warned for prosecution.
