SSP Dathan Henry was poisoned
KINGSTON, Jamaica — The police have confirmed that former Senior Superintendent of Police Dathan Henry was killed due to poisoning “by a mixture of chemicals usually found in rodenticides”.
The result comes following toxicological analysis of ante mortem and post mortem samples taken from the deceased, Director of Communication for the Jamaica Constabulary Force, Karl Angell said in a release Monday afternoon.
SSP Henry, who was in charge of Clarendon, died in hospital in May 2012 after a brief illness.
Angell said that the Director of Public Prosecution has advised that the case file and all reports be submitted to the coroner for an inquest to be conducted.
The Major Investigations Task Force is currently in the process of preparing a complete case file for submission to the coroner.
