Special JUTC service for Denbigh
THE Jamaica Urban Transit Company (JUTC) will be offering special transportation service to and from the Denbigh Agricultural Show in Clarendon from August 4 – 6.
The cost is $999 per person (adults and children three years and over) per day over the three days of the event, the bus company said yesterday.
Buses will leave the Half-Way-Tree Transport Centre, Portmore Mall and the JUTC Bus Park in Spanish Town at 8:00 am and 11:00 am each day for Denbigh, and depart at 7:00 pm and 10:00 pm.
Tickets are available at Genus Pharmacy and the Portmore Mall Pharmacy; the JUTC bus park on Burke Road in Spanish Town; Half-Way-Tree Transport Centre; S&S Hardware at Papine Plaza and JUTC Smartcard Sales Office at 7 East Parade, downtown Kingston. Tickets will be available untilß Tuesday, July 31.
Corporate Communications Manager at the JUTC ßReginald Allen said the company decided to extend its charter service, which allows persons to travel in comfort and style to special events.
“It is about JUTC assisting in taking the hassle out of the whole Denbigh experience. We are facilitating convenience, so persons do not have to encounter the traffic and parking issues. Instead, you can just relax, work with our timing and get to Denbigh comfortably and safely for the three days of the show,” he said.
“Denbigh brings back the kind of nationalistic verve that is second to none and with this year’s… Jamaica 50 celebrationsß, we are expecting a greater number of persons to be flocking Denbigh, and certainly a lot of those patrons will be using our service,” said Allen.
