Warden accused of ganja on job pleads not guilty
KINGSTON, Jamaica — The warden reportedly busted at the Tower Street Adult Correctional Centre with several parcels of ganja had his bail extended Wednesday when he appeared in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate’s Court.
Forty-five-year-old Gary Senior, a resident of Chester Avenue, St Catherine, pleaded not guilty to a charge of illegal possession of ganja and was given a return date of November 20.
Senior was busted in September following a routine search of his bags after reporting for duty.
Four parcels of ganja were reportedly found in one of his bags and the police were summoned.
On Wednesday, Senior’s bail was extended pending an outstanding forensic report, which is expected to be available the next time he appears in court.
