Entertainment out west

Bingo at MoBay Cricket Club tonight

Bingo fans in St James are invited to attend the Sandals Montego Bay grand bingo party tonight at the Montego Bay Cricket Club. For $200, patrons will be able to win a cash prize of $5,000 plus a bedroom suite, a dressing table, a television set and a weekend for two at a Sandals resort. Lollipop on the Beach comes alive

The once popular Lollipop on the Beach entertainment centre in Sandy Bay, Hanover comes alive tonight after being closed for quite sometime. Gemini Disco out of Kingston with its selectors Glamour Wayne, Welton Irie and Sugar Ray will provide the music for the reopening. Some of western Jamaica’s popular entertainers are also lined up to participate in the special reopening show. These include Major Lloyd, Lt Elmo, General Leon and All Purpose.

Scorpion Disco to be crowned

Trelawny’s most popular sound, Scorpion Disco will be ‘crowned’ tonight at Club Exclusive in Bounty Hall by western Jamaica Champion sound Jah Creation. For over 25 years Scorpion Disco with owner and selector Michael “Micky” Seivwright has been the leading sound in the parish. And according to promoter Buda, it is only fitting that Micky and his sound get such an honour. Special guest at the crowning will be the conscious singer Eddie Fitzroy.

Retreat Heights and New Court Neighbourhood Watch host a day of fun, dancing and sumptuous food today at Springfield Boulevard, Retreat Heights, Trelawny. Activities include domino tournament, cards, scrabble, football and raffle. Contribution is $250 and the fun starts at 1:00 pm.

Fish fry at Cornwall Courts
