Two men shot dead in Kingston
TWO men, both 30 years, were shot and killed by gunmen in separate incidents in the Kingston 12 area on Wednesday.
They have been identified as Dean Johnson, a higgler of Penn Street, Jones Town and Marlon Shields, a labourer of Union Street, Craig Town.
The Constabulary Communication Network (CCN) reported that at about 5:30 pm, Johnson was standing on Penn Street when a “heavily tinted” white Toyota Corolla motor car drove up. A man armed with a handgun reportedly alighted from the vehicle and opened fire, hitting Johnson all over the body.
He was taken to the Kingston Public Hospital where he died while undergoing treatment.
In the other incident, Shields was reportedly walking along Chamberlin Road at about 6:15 pm when a white motor car drove up. The occupants reportedly opened fire on him, hitting him several times.
He was taken to the Kingston Public Hospital where he was pronounced dead. Four 9mm shells were found on the scene.

CLIVE McLean, 34, of Colgate District in St St Ann, was shot and killed by a lone gunman at the Ocho Rios Market in the parish Wednesday night.
The CCN reported that at about 8:00 pm, McLean was at the back of a make-shift bar he operated, when a lone man armed with a gun, came up to him and opened fire, hitting him. He died on the spot.
The gunman then escaped on foot in the area.
Electrician dies in freak accident
A 19-year-old electrician died Wednesday from injuries sustained after he was hit by a light post in Savanna-la-Mar, Westmoreland.
Dead is of Chantilly Gardens, Savanna-la-Mar.
The CCN said that at about 9:30 am the electrician, Cosmo McIntyre of Chantilly Gardens in Savanna-la-Mar, was removing light posts from a truck on Chantilly Road when he lost his balance and fell. One of the posts reportedly fell on top of him, hitting him in the chest and forehead.
He was taken to the Savanna-la-Mar Hospital where he died about 1:00 pm.
