Miss Montego Bay Free Zone coronation tonight
Eight beautiful girls from various companies in the Montego Bay Free Zone, will tonight vie for the title “Miss Montego Bay Free Zone”, at the Pier One entertainment complex.
They are Kadean Grizzle, Tameika Allen, Solitha Henry, Tracy Bailey, Terry Rodman, Cameal Tomlinson, Yashyanne Brown and Manet Dawkins. The young ladies will all be competing for a number of cash prizes and trophies.
Entertainers at the event will include the popular Goofy Brothers, Bus De Place, John Gotty, Silva Kid and Snoopy D.
Showtime is 8:30 pm.
MoBay prep PTA fair today
The Montego Bay Preparatory School Parent Teachers’ Association presents a Fun Fair on the school’s grounds today, starting at 10:00 pm.
Activities include grab bag, bounce-about and football.
There will also be a wide variety of food and drink on sale as well as a large stock of merchandise.
Proceeds from the event will go towards a number of school development projects.
Saturday Night Vibes party continues at the Brewery
The weekly Saturday Night Vibes party continues at The Brewery, on Montego Bay’s Hip Strip Gloucester Avenue.
This week, the popular War Lord International disco will entertain.
Last week’s show, which featured Copper Shot, was a huge success and this week’s party should be no different.
The fun starts at 11:00 pm.
Curry Festival at Mannings High School tomorrow
The second staging of the Westmoreland Curry Festival takes place at the Mannings High School in Savanna-la-Mar, Westmoreland tomorrow, starting at 10:00 am.
As expected, curried dishes will be the main attraction.
Apart from the usual curried chicken and curried goat, patrons will be able to sample curried fish, curried rice, curried pudding and cakes and a wide range of curried fruits.
There is also a lively entertainment package lined up, which features the Fabulous Five Band, Richie Stephens and Half Pint.
Ron Muschette from Irie FM radio will do emcee duties.
Cornwall Regional Nurses’ Association variety concert
The Cornwall Regional Hospital Nurses’ Association presents a variety concert at the hospital’s auditorium on Tuesday, April 30, starting at 7:00 pm.
The concert features Mackie Conscious, Lt Elmo, Goofy Brothers, Satta Ranks and Bassa Lee.
The evening’s emcee will be Jackie Norman of Hot 102.
Proceeds are in aid of several nurses’ projects.
