Cement Co worker charged with supervisor’s death
LIONEL Thomas, an employee of the Cement Company in Rockfort, Kingston, was yesterday charged by the Elletson Road CIB with the death of his supervisor, Wayne Clarke, who was killed last month.
Lionel Thomas, 39, resides at 7 West in Greater Portmore, St Catherine.
Clarke’s body was found in the sea off the Palisadoes Road in Kingston at about 7:00 am on Monday, October 31. He was reportedly at work on Saturday, October 29 when he went missing.
The police said intelligence led investigators to believe that a colleague was instrumental in having Clarke killed. A number of them were questioned on Tuesday, November 1, and Thompson was implicated. He was formally charged yesterday and is scheduled to appear in the Corporate Area Criminal Court on Tuesday, November 22.
