American falls ill, dies at Negril resort
THE Negril Police have commenced investigations into the death of American Robert Tiernan, who died yesterday while vacationing at a resort in Negril, Westmoreland.
Tiernan, 47, resided at Antioch in California, USA.
The police reported that Tiernan, who arrived in the island with his wife last Thursday, fell ill at about 12:30 yesterday morning.
“The house doctor was called at about 8:30 am, but Mr Tiernan died before medical assistance could reach him,” said the Constabulary Communication Network (CCN), the police’s information arm.
“No foul play is suspected,” said the CCN.
