Man shot dead in Santa Cruz

Santa Cruz, St Elizabeth – Police in Santa Cruz are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a man whose body was found with gunshot wounds in an open lot in the town yesterday.

Police yesterday afternoon said they were yet to “formally” identify the victim. Investigators say people in the vicinity reported hearing gunshots sometime after 9:00 pm on Saturday. Robbery has been ruled out as a motive since a cell phone, money and other valuables were found on the body.
