Cop pleads guilty to raping jailed woman

PORT ANTONIO, Portland – A 22 year-old police officer accused of raping a woman while she was in custody at the Castle Police Station in Portland, pleaded guilty to

rape and indecent assault charges when he appeared in court on Tuesday.

Constable Marvin Frazer is scheduled to return to the Port Antonio Resident Magistrate’s Court on May 5 for a hearing.

He was arrested and charged after a 21 year-old exotic dancer told police that the constable raped her while she was in police custody at Castle Police Station. The incident, the victim said, occurred in December 2005 while she was in custody for a wounding charge.

Frazer, who is on $150,000 bail, is presently on suspension and is required to report to the nearest police station periodically.

He lives in Windsor Castle, St Mary, but was assigned to the Castle Police Station in Portland.
