Man’s body found with stab, chop wounds
THE body of Calvin Palmer, 54, was found yesterday in an abandoned building at Santa Cruz in St Elizabeth. It had multiple stab and chop wounds.
According to Sergeant Angella Williams, liaison officer for the Constabulary Communication Network, the body was discovered by residents about 6:00 am.
There were reports that Palmer’s death was a reprisal killing for allegedly threatening the mother of another resident in his community on a prior occasion. These allegations could not be confirmed by the police, who said they had no motive for Palmer’s killing.
It was later confirmed by the police a female suspect was taken into custody for questioning in relation to Palmer’s death. She allegedly had an altercation with Palmer the dat before his death.
