Summer of Soup
Sometimes there is nothing better than a cup of hot, steaming mannish water – the meaty aroma and spicy flavour. There is just something about it that smells, feels and tastes like Jamaica. Lest we forget the sexual energy it is said to impart on men – hence the name, man-ish water.
Now, this mannish water is conveniently available through the Scientific Research Council (SRC) in a can, with a 24-month shelf life. Filled with healthy pieces of goat meat, local herbs, vegetables, root tubers, and spices like pimento, allspice, thyme, all the flavours have been captured in this new product currently at the SRC. The SRC added that the cans are on sale for a limited time, for JA$100, however, the formula for the mannish water is currently for sale.
