KFC Jamaica rolls out self-service kiosks

KINGSTON, Jamaica — KFC Jamaica has launched self-service ordering kiosks at its restaurants, introducing touchscreen terminals that allow customers to browse the full menu, customise orders and pay without joining the regular queue.

The quick-service chain debuted the new platform on Wednesday at its Springs Plaza outlet in Half-Way-Tree, St Andrew. It plans to roll it out across all 43 KFC locations in Jamaica over the coming weeks and months, the company said in a statement. The introduction of kiosks was first signalled during KFC Jamaica’s 50th-anniversary celebrations earlier in 2025.

KFC said the platform is intended to speed up service, add flexibility to the ordering process and give diners more control over their interaction with the brand. The company described the kiosks as part of a broader effort to modernise its restaurants and use technology to enhance the in-store experience and service quality.

Customers use the kiosks’ touchscreens to select and tailor their meals and can either pay by card at the machine or place a cash payment at the counter after ordering. Those using the kiosks are directed to a dedicated cashier if paying by cash or can go straight to the counter to collect their orders, bypassing the standard queue.

During the island-wide rollout, KFC will deploy customer service ambassadors in restaurants to help first-time users navigate the kiosks and address questions. The company said this support is aimed at ensuring a smooth transition as customers adapt to the new ordering option.

KFC Jamaica also offers online and remote ordering via WhatsApp at 876-333-2KFC (2532), its website kfcjamaica.com and the KFC Jamaica mobile app. These channels remain available alongside the new in-store kiosks.

KFC Springs’ customer service ambassadors are on hand to walk customers through the new kiosk experience.
