Portmore’s seafood ‘castle’ taking shape
A multi-million-dollar dine-in seafood restaurant, located between Burger King and Captain’s Bakery in the Portmore town centre, is expected to be opened by year-end.
The building, which resembles a castle – complete with red triangular-shaped roofs atop miniature towers – occupies two lots of land procured from the Urban Development Commission (UDC). It has been under construction for more than a year now, even though the outer walls were painted several months ago.
The owners of the property declined to speak about the project, but a source said it will serve a wide variety of fish and other seafood.
Details however, concerning the menu, the opening date and the business name, have not yet been worked out. What is clear so far though is that the owners will seek to attract a mixed audience, catering to all income brackets.
