UK Travel industry rates Sandals as best yet again
JAMAICA and the Caribbean’s Sandals & Beaches Resorts have swept the British Travel Awards and the Virgin Holidays Travel Awards presented recently in London.
The Gordon ‘Butch’ Stewart-owned resort chain was named Best All-Inclusive Resorts/Hotels at a glittering ceremony for the British Travel Awards held in front of an audience of the most senior industry professionals in travel.
The UK’s travelling consumers, agents and professionals voted in their tens of thousands for the top performers, naming Sandals/Beaches yet again among their favourite choices.
Chairman Stewart and his son, Adam Stewart, CEO of Sandals and Beaches Resorts, were on hand to collect the award for Beaches Negril which was later honoured with Best Family Resort at the Virgin Holidays Travel Awards, at a circus-inspired gala held in London’s Camden Roundhouse venue.
“I am absolutely thrilled to receive these awards. It’s all possible because we have the best team whose keen attention to every little detail makes the biggest difference and that’s what sets us apart,” said ‘Butch’ Stewart.
On behalf of Sandals, Adam, who was visiting London for the World Travel Market, also collected the award for Best Caribbean Hotel Chain.
