St James High meet Muschett today
MONTEGO BAY, St James – The two qualifiers from Zone A for the Inter-zone round of the ISSA/Pepsi/Digicel daCosta Cup schoolboys’ football competition could be known this afternoon as the return round continues.
A win for defending champions St James High over Muschett High at Jarrett Park would see them as well as Cornwall College advancing to the next round.
Both St James High and Cornwall College are on 18 points at the top of the points table and a win for the champions would eliminate Muschett High from Inter-zone considerations.
Cornwall who will not be in action until Saturday have played six games, one less than St James, who will return to the top of the tables today.
St James High was made to work hard on Tuesday to beat Spot Valley 1-0, knocking them out of Inter-Zone contention and joining Herbert Morrison High and Green Pond.
Roshane Reid scored for St James High on Tuesday after getting a brace last Saturday as St James blanked Green Pond High 5-0.
In another game of academic purpose only, Herbert Morrison will host Spot Valley in Bogue today.
