WHEN Sean Paul hit the studios to put his dancehall flair on the track Do You Remember current high-riding sensation Jay Sean and crunk king Lil’ Jon, he didn’t figure that in its first week of its release, the tune would be burning up the iTunes Top 100 Songs charts.

The collaboration was reportedly birthed at the MTV Video Music Awards, when Sean Paul indicated to Jay Sean that they need to work together, and a couple of weeks later, the tune was recorded and ready for release.

Do You Remember has been swimming around in the upper crust of iTunes’ Top 100 songs, maintaining a strong presence in the top 20 songs, and peaking at #14. So enthused are the artistes about the song, that Sean Paul made sure he could be a part of the music video that was shot for the tune on Thursday November 11.

“The energy surrounding this song is just crazy,” Sean Paul said from Los Angeles, where the video was shot.

“People really like the song, and it was a lot of fun for us as artistes to record it, and even more fun to do the video,” Sean Paul, who recently copped the first ever Best Reggae Artiste award at the Soul Train Awards.

He adds the Best Reggae Award trophy to an impressive collection of awards that includes a Grammy, MTV Music Video Award, Billboard Music Award, American Music Award, MTV Europe Music Award, MOBO and others. Sean Paul is also a multi-platinum selling artiste many times over, and the most successful Jamaican artiste on the international charts.

He’s had three #1 singles, five top ten hits, and even more chart entries over three worldwide best-selling albums, which have sold more than 11-million copies worldwide. His latest release, Imperial Blaze, has been creating waves since its late August release and has given the superstar an even bigger claim to fame, as he became the first Jamaican artiste to top the Billboard Top Ten Rap Charts.
