Pulse’s CMS Full Figured finale tonight

After five weeks of drama and ‘full figured fabulousness’, viewers will find out tonight who will take top honours in the inaugural Pulse Caribbean Model Search (CMS) Full Figure Reality TV series.

From the top 18, now down to the final eight, tonight will indeed be a red letter moment for plus size models Simone Clayton, Ayesha Dawes, Cindy Lyons, Nadine Nomdarkham, Marsha Robotham, Andrena Smith, Michelle Smith and Tadesha Snow as they do fashion battle in a do-or-die runway finale. The long and emotional journey will be worth the trouble for one lucky girl who will win a contract with Pulse and the opportunity to be presented to international model agencies.

Twenty-three year old finalist Ayesha Dawes expressed that she is all nerves, “I’m very excited about the finale but also very nervous. I have worked very hard throughout the past couple of weeks and have had to do things that I would never have imagined myself doing ever, like facing my fear of lizards! This competition and its results could mean a major change in my life and I can’t wait!”

Similar sentiments were also expressed by marketing coordinator Marsha Robotham, “This model search helps to promote positive body imagery. Win or lose tonight, I put a lot of hard work into this and I’m more than super proud of myself and that I made it to the final eight.”

Montego Bay resident, Tadesha Snow, says she has been waiting for this opportunity for years and believes that she stands a good shot at the title, “I believe that I am a good representation of what a full-figured woman is supposed to be. I was born to do this and I’m not going home without the title.”

And indeed, viewers from across Jamaica have also ardently voiced their opinions on their own top picks, weighing in on the girls’ performances each week on popular social networking site Facebook . From facing their fears of lizards and snakes, the rigorous workout at Cuthbert’s Gym, the dancehall diva challenge, posing as mannequins on Trafalgar Road and now for the highly anticipated finale, the bets are on to see just who has the goods to take Jamaica’s newest reality crown. The finale is on tonight on CVM TV at 9:00 pm.
