‘Treasured Experience’ at Mas Camp
In the quest for the ultimate ‘treasured’ experience, last Friday saw carnival lovers converge upon Bacchanal Jamaica’s Mas Camp Village for the themed night Burmese Sunset.
With many socaphiles down south for Trinidad’s 2010 carnival festivities, the Mas Camp showed no sign of their absence, as the venue was chock-full of soca-frenzied patrons.
Featuring soca jams from the past and present, with infusions of reggae melodies delivered by DJ Omar C and Sparkles Production, bacchanal habitants, of all ages partied the hours away.
“For years I have been coming to the Mas Camp, every Friday night for the season. And every year it just keeps getting better,” commented patron Cheryl Brown as other soca fans danced around her.
In addition to working up a sweat on the dance floor, patrons also visited the numerous Digicel-sponsored booths on location such as Smirnoff, Supreme Ventures, Heineken and Pure Country, to name a few.
Another popular area at the Mas Camp was the costume section as patrons took the opportunity to view the bejewelled costumes set to hit the road on April 11, 2010. Revellers are being urged to secure their Bacchanal Treasures creations at their earliest convenience, as costumes are limited and many are already sold out.
