Fatal accident on Sir Florizel Glasspole Highway
An unidentified man died after being hit by a Honda motorcar on the Sir Florizel Glasspole Highway in Kingston at about 8:15 am today.
The man was dressed in a pair of blue jeans and a white shirt and appeared to have been walking along the road when the accident occurred in the vicinity of an abandoned gas station next door the former Shell headquarters.
Officers from the Police Accident Reconstruction Unit have blocked off the side of the dual carriageway and have directed traffic heading east onto the right hand side of the road.
The measure has resulted in long traffic delays.
Up to 9:15 am the man’s body was still at the scene.
