In society today, technology and technological devices have become a new way of life through which the simplest activities can be turned into a wide range of virtual and almost unrealistic excitement. Devices such as the BlackBerry mobile phone created by Canadian company Research In Motion (RIM), and Apple iMac computers have a proven ability to make life somewhat easier. Tech5 has therefore created a forum whereby you, our TEENage Observer readers, can trek with us through a technological maze. It also keeps in mind our game lovers who will not be forgotten as they too can join in the excitement as we visit their virtual world from time to time.
1. Eclipse Wireless Litetouch Keyboard
The Eclipse Wireless Litetouch Keyboard is the latest of its kind, designed specifically for desktop usage and with an LCD three-in-one touch panel. Compatible with Windows 7, Windows XP, XP64, Vista and Mac OS X, the Litetouch features a three-way system of media mode, numerical-pad mode and ‘My Eclipse.’ Through these functions it offers its owner a host of commands that can be used for a multitude of activities.
2. Hercules Mk4 DJ Controller
This new, advanced controller features a host of digital and musical arrangements. It features a two-deck mixer, mix digital audio files on PC and Mac, two stereo outputs to play the mix on active speakers, a PA system, a hi-fi system or a mixer. It has two stereo inputs (with four levels: Phono / standard line level / professional line level / boosted line level) to connect any external audio sources: MP3 players, CD mixing decks, vinyl turntables and more. It also includes a built-in, high-performance audio interface, and a headphone and microphone for audio in and out. The Mk4 controller has well-spaced controls for precise mixing: two jog wheels, one cross-fader, two volume faders, two pitch encoder knobs, six EQ knobs and 36 buttons. It is also capable of synchronising tracks, automatic loops, adding multiple effects, and recording mixes.
3. i4 Universal Charger
IDAFT, a Spain-based technological company has created a four-way portable charger that can charge up to 4000 different kinds of mobile phones and technological devices and gadgets, with its interchangeable tips. It was designed with three charging stations and an additional USB charging point that allows users to charge their electronic gadgets without the jumble of tangled cords or the need to have more than one outlet.
4. Tablet- Concept Smartbook
In-oh Yoo & Sun- woong has released its latest technology, the new Concept Smartbook that is based from Google Chrome or Android operating system. This latest tablet features a 7″ touch screen display with a foldable, portable, and detachable physical keyboard with camera on its back and additional microphone that can be used to receive incoming/outgoing calls. This tablet lets you view in both landscape and portrait mode, and has an accelerometer. This tablet can be charged together with its detachable keyboard when they come in contact through magnet or else you can charge them individually.
5. Android-Powered Smartphone
The new Samsung Galaxy S, latest Android Smartphone has a 4-inch WVGA screen and boast with a DLNA (Digital Living Network Alliance) certified Wi-Fi for media streaming. It has an internal storage capacity of 8GB or 16GB of internal and an extendable card slot for more storage capacity. This latest Smartphone also features a five-megapixel camera for video recording and is powered by a 1GHz processor for better multitasking, browsing, as well as graphics and video handling.
