NE Stars sign Jamaican Sean Fraser
SANGRE GRANDE, Trinidad (CMC) — North East Stars have moved to fortify their side for a return to the Trinidad & Tobago Pro League by signing Sean Fraser for the 2010-11 season.
The 27-year-old Fraser is a free agent, who has accumulated plenty experience in his native Jamaica, the United States, and as far away as Brazil.
Fraser played for top Jamaica club Harbour View between 2000 and 2004, and also Hazard United from 2004 to 2006.
He moved to Miami FC in the United Soccer League Division One from 2006 to 2008, when he netted 11 goals in 68 games.
Fraser then had a brief loan stint in Brazil before moving to the Puerto Rico Islanders last year,
when he netted three goals in 23 appearances.
He has also played in the 1999 FIFA Under-17 World Cup in New Zealand, and the 2001 FIFA World Under-20 Cup in Argentina.
He has however, to maintain a regular place in the Jamaica Reggae Boyz line-up, and has only earned three international caps.
