Stalemates dominate Trelawny Major League
BLACKWIN, Trelawny — The top three teams were held to draws on Sunday as the return-round of the Trelawny Football Association’s National Rums of Jamaica Major League continued.
The results left leaders Clarks Town FC and Harmony FC tied on 28 points each and separated by just a goal difference of one, while third-placed Holland are five points behind after 13 games played.
Clarks Town, who had beaten Dromilly FC 1-0 in the first round, were held to a 1-1 draw at Blackwin near Deeside, while Harmony and Holland who were goalless in their first meeting, sharing two goals in their game at Davis Pen.
In another game on Sunday, Kinloss and Duanvale ended goalless.
Upsetters FC were the big winners on the weekend, outscoring Granville 5-2 at Carey Park on Saturday to move into fourth place on 22 points, one more than Duanvale.
Palmento also avenged a first-round loss, beating Spicy Hill 4-2 at Elliston Wakeland Centre, while Flames blanked Sherwood 4-0 at Sea-Road to make up for their loss in the first round.
