World Cup rich list

The following is a list of the top earning footballers who are expected to take part in next month’s World Cup, based off a list of the highest-paid players in the World compiled by France Football in March.

Players

1. Lionel Messi (Argentina) £29.6m

2. Cristiano Ronaldo (Portugal) £26.9m

3. Kaka (Brazil) £16.9m

4. Thierry Henry (France) £16.2m

5. Carlos Tevez (Argentina) £13.8m

6. Frank Lampard (England) £12.7m

7. Samuel Eto’o (Cameroon) £12.4m

France Football, which has ranked the best-paid players since 1999, calculated the figures based on salary and endorsements.
