Preston extend lead in Trelawny
FRIENDSHIP, Trelawny — Preston FC extended their lead in the Trelawny Football Association’s Division One league on Thursday after clipping Friendship 3-2 at Friendship Community Centre.
Preston’s win and a loss by second-placed Invaders saw the leaders extend their lead to four points, 19 to 15 after seven games played by both clubs.
Daniel Town created a mild upset by edging Invaders 2-1 at home, but Classic failed to pass Invaders into second place after they were held 1-1 by Jackson Town at Blackwin on Wednesday.
Heatwave scored their first win of the competitions beating win less Rio Bueno 2-1 while Prospect Link were awarded points from Wait-A-Bit PYC whose field was not prepared.
