Dear Editor,

It is hard to comprehend the cowardice which prevails in our midst. When one can look at five-year-old children and execute them mercilessly, we have actually gone beyond common human understanding of the opportune time for society to strike back. There are many cold-hearted beasts among us who thrive on blood and raw flesh. The big question is, when is this cycle of vengeance, bloodletting and hate going to stop?

We have to show some respect for life before we are faced with death ourselves. It’s a privilege to live sanctified by God our maker. The poor cannot take it anymore, and the rich are seeking for open doors to shelter from the destructive path of murderers and haters. Are our souls going to be satisfied with the destructive path we have made so fertile? We need to question our existence to see if it was worthwhile for us to be given a prime space on the planet to parade our talents.

Imagine those persons who did not get the opportunity to live due to a shortened time on the earth and those aborted who would gladly make the best of their sojourn on earth. Mr Criminal, you should consider your sinister, diabolic and cunning ways time wasted and time lost. Pardon me for venturing into your miserable world filled with doom and gloom. But do you not think it is time for you to desist and resist your inner self? In your narrow-minded existence you could have found another avenue to vent your miserable life’s frustration.

We as Jamaicans might soon be extinct because we are an endangered species. You haters, you have the capacity and the will to bring great prospects to a confused nation. We are tired of the evil prevailing among us and causing mayhem and broken hearts and dreams.
