Senior citizen disputes phone bill
Dear Claudienne
I am asking you please to assist me to ascertain the enclosed telephone bills from LIME.
The large number of mobile calls on the bills show that they were made on the landline phone.
As a senior citizen 75 years old, I have not made these calls, neither has my wife. We both have mobile phones from a LIME competitor, so there is no reason why we would use the landline phone to make mobile calls.
I have made several contacts with LIME who insists that we made the calls. We do not operate a business. You will see that not even one landline number is listed on the bill. LIME expects me to pay this phone bill but I won’t do that.
Claudienne, I am not an engineer, but I am convinced that there is an illegal connection to our line. Please note that the line phone is now disconnected.

Dear CW
We spoke with LIME. The company said that they have done a thorough investigation and have decided that the charges in question should be waived in the interest of good customer relations. LIME has informed Tell Claudienne that your landline service has now been reinstated.
Good luck.
Dear Claudienne
My husband first applied for his birth certificate in 2003. The Registrar General’s Department said that they cannot find his birth certificate. He has paid for three searches, $100 for each.
On November 13, 2008 I went to the RGD and spoke to a clerk. She gave me a phone number where I could contact her but when I called her the security guard answered.
My husband urgently needs his birth certificate to get a passport so that he can go to the US to have an operation done on his leg to avoid its amputation.
Please see what you can do to help me.

Dear DC
After making no headway with the RGD we brought your complaint to the attention of the Minister of Health, and the Investigation and Enforcement Department of the Standards and Regulation Division of the Health ministry. We note that the RGD has now processed your husband’s application and given him copies of his birth certificate.
Good luck.
