Give Mutty Perkins the OJ
Dear Editor,
I strongly believe Wilmot Perkins must be recognised for his contribution to national life. For years Mr Perkins has been on radio championing the rights of Jamaicans and has been a consistent voice of sound, logical reasoning.
One might disagree with him on occasion, but his views more often than not consist of a logical thought process, which one can only hope has influenced a society that is often bereft of voices of reason and logic. Mr Perkins has consistently brought this to the airwaves.
Even his staunchest critics who might disagree with his views and advocacy perhaps know that Perkins has his country and its development at heart. The Press Association of Jamaica and the people who see to the issue of national awards might consider that “Wilmot Perkins, OJ” sounds apt and most deserving. Happy belated birthday, Mr Perkins.
