Prize of medical profession
Dear Editor,
I am compelled to write concerning the excellent care that my mother received while she was a patient at the University Hospital of the West Indies from September 18 – 24. During her visit, the entire staff were remarkably professional and thorough. I am sure this contributed significantly to her recovery.
I must single out for special mention the following doctors who were very attentive: Dr Lowe Jones, Dr Angus, Dr Beaubrun and Dr Paul Edwards. Not to be outdone were the nurses on Ward 4, especially Sister P Waugh Mcleish, and the following nurses – Sian C Smart, Kanille Allen, Shadee Marshall, Nurse Comrie, Yvette Cain, A Williams Gayle, and Nurse Jackson.
The outstanding work of these doctors and nurses has given us reason to feel confident in their knowledge and skills. Competent, patient, sensitive physicians and nurses such as those mentioned are the prize of the medical profession.
