Rise, Jamaica
Dear Editor,
It is interesting to note the many voices which are critical of the performance of the current administration. Lest we forget, the years between 1990 and 2007 were some of the most prosperous for many countries. As a nation we need not, however, be over-occupied with politics but should seek to lay a foundation for prosperity in the following:
(1) Food security.
(2) Energy security at competitive rates.
(3) A healthy and educated population.
(4) Promoting the virtue of honesty and hard work.
Without these we will still gaze in wonder at the world around us and wish we were like the many prosperous countries in the world. So rise. Jamaicans, and continue to lobby present and future governments to pay attention to this foundation so that the benefits can be reaped in the near future.
A Bryan
