Peace concert for Delacree Road tomorrow
THE McDonald Lane church, as part of its evangelistic and missions thrust, will be hosting an Outreach Evangelistic Missions Concert on the church grounds, 20 Delacree Rd tomorrow afternoon at 4:00.
The concert is the vision of Bishop Dennis Walton, host pastor of the church, and popular gospel artiste Ryan Berry, who is the assistant music director. The main objective of the outreach concert is to foster an atmosphere of peace and unity between volatile communities that are otherwise at war with each other.
Through this concert, it is envisioned that citizens of neighbouring communities will be able to cross ‘boundary lines’, fellowship with each other and be ministered to by various music ministers and preachers.
Music ministers such as Ryan Berry, Perpetual Praise, Chosen Vessel, Carlene Davis, Prodigal Son, Omari, Kevin Downswell, Murphy, Shepherd, Latoya HD, Timothy, Jcee, Jdat, S Don Royal, Nickeisha McDonald, Morgie, Jason Bless, Tina Tamara, Ryan Mark, Dunamis and J Project have pledged their support of the concert. The concert will also feature The McDonald Lane Mass choir, Divine worshipers Dance group, and SBG drama ministry. The evening will be hosted by Reverend Stevenson Samuels, Nadine Blair and Omar Trowers of Love 101 also Chantal Facey and Basillia Barnaby. Marshy Redz of Mega Jams will be spinning music for the evening.
The concert is expected to draw in patrons from Maxfield Avenue, Delacree Road, Waltham Park Road, Eden Ave, Merrick Road, Delamere Road, Totley Avenue, McDonald Lane, Kew Road, Frog City and other surrounding communities.
