Please, Madam Auditor General
Dear Editor,
I believe that the auditor general, in her attempt to prove how competent she is, went out of her way to paint a damning picture of the operations at the Bellevue Hospital.
It would be very useful for the members of the PAC to take a tour of the facility and spend some time observing what the various professionals employed there have to endure to provide care to people who really don’t know what they are doing.
Take for instance having to take care of a sexually active patient who has the deadly AIDS virus and has to be closely watched to prevent her going on to the compound where a man infected with the virus is only too happy to satisfy her needs.
I am therefore appealing to the auditor general not to use words like “madness” and “insane” to describe the money being spent by the management of Bellevue to perform a service that money can’t buy. Just look at the billions of dollars being wasted in the name of road repairs.
