I read a story in the Sunday Observer of December 5 on “Deadly ‘cells'” and I thought to myself that we cannot depend on those whom we employ to be reliable, and then there are those who visit the prisons and somehow get away with bringing in cellphones to criminals, allowing them to order hits on the lives of people outside of prison.

If we cannot stop them from getting cellphones, how about discussing with the telephone providers the possibility of installing “signal jammers”? This would prevent cellphone use (the good suffer for the bad) and monitor the landlines when they are allowed to make calls. Let’s say once or twice per month.

You know there are some companies where you are not allowed to use your

cellphone on the job, and if you have to, you must leave your post to do so. I am just saying that if we cannot stop them from getting the phones, then discuss the next best thing and see what happens.
