Gyptian’s Hold You voted number two song of 2010
NEW YORK, USA — The smash hit Hold You, by Reggae artiste Gyptian has been voted the number two song of 2010 by New York’s WQHT HOT 97 Radio Station here.
Listeners to the station — a powerhouse in the top media market in the United States — voted the song into second place during a contest for their favourite song of the year.
“This achievement has come on the heels of Gyptian being ranked a top international artiste, and Hold You being seen as one of the hottest songs of 2010,” a release from his Record label, VP records, said.
Reacting to the news of the success of his single Gyptian praised and thanked “all my fans around the world for putting their power behind Hold You and making it a bonafide hit.” He added “this year it’s all about Nah Let Go, and I look forward to doing just that.”
Gyptian received the Soul Train Award for Reggae Artist of the Year late last year.
Hold You has sold over 300,000 copies since its release, and has been receiving excellent reviews by major publications here.
