Dog Paw gang members charged for August Town massacre
TWO members of the infamous Dog Paw gang have been charged with murder after they were identified on a video Identification Parade on Thursday.
They have been identified by police as 25-year-old Yannick Machelle Ellis, otherwise called “Slim Shady”, of Gold Smith Villa and Donald Lalloo Allen, otherwise called “Matchilus”, of Bedward Gardens.
Both were charged on Friday with three counts of murder, shooting with intent, arson and malicious destruction of property.
Detectives from the Major Investigations Task Force and the St Andrew Central Police launched a probe into the shooting death of 49-year-old bus driver Mornest Hylton, 31-year-old Dania Forbes and a six-year-old child all of Bedward Gardens in August Town.
The three met their demise after a group of about 30 gunmen invaded an area of Bedward Gardens known as “Alley Four” where they kicked open a door to the victims house.
Police report that the men, who were armed with high powered assault rifles, opened fire killing the three on the spot before setting the house on fire.
On the arrival of the police who were called to the scene, the charred remains of the three victims were removed from the burnt out house.
Ellis and Allen are scheduled to face the Gun Court on January 14.
