Domino finalists to be known tomorrow
COUSINS COVE, Hanover — The two finalists for the Madden’s Hanover domino competition will be decided tomorrow, following two semi-final games.
In the first semi-final match-up, Logwood will face Caldwell, while in the other game Haddington will do battle with Copse.
The four semi-finalists were decided following Sunday’s eight games at Charis Restaurant, Round Hill, and Golden Star Restaurant, Cousin’s Cove, Hanover.
Logwood and Caldwell gained their semi-final berths by defeating Maryland and Hopewell, respectively. In the first quarter-final encounters played at Charis Restaurant, Logwood overwhelmed Maryland 300-226; while Cauldwell outscored Hopewell 288-278 in an encounter which ended prematurely.
During the games at Star Restaurant in Cousin’s Cove, Haddington got the better of Woodland 300-259, while Copse brushed aside Sandy Bay 300-268.
The final is scheduled to be played on Sunday, January 30.
The teams are vying for the option of selecting a community development project which will be fully funded by the Madden’s Group of Company. They are also competing for cash and other prizes.
