Nuvo is an exceptionally different kind of drink that is a pure cocktail but can also be used to spice up other cocktails or recipes as well.

Dave DaCosta, head of Innovation at Red Stripe, distributors of the drink, says that the sparkling liqueur is the first of its kind on the local market.

“Nuvo was introduced to the Jamaican market very recently and consumers have taken a liking to the product. We can’t keep it on the shelves. Everyone seems to like the taste, which is a treat for taste buds, and the amazingly eye-catching bottle,” shared DaCosta.

He also disclosed that this Valentine’s Nuvo will be conducting promotions in select supermarkets and outlets, including jewellery stores, where consumers will be treated to Nuvo samples and a chance to receive discount cards on their future Nuvo purchases.

Tara Wright, lead bartender at New York’s 21 Club, has taken Nuvo and fashioned something rather unusual. This may be a cocktail, but paired with a small dish of berries you will have one heck of a dessert on your hands as well.

Nuvo Egg Cream

Ingredients:

1 ounce Frangelico

1 ounce Heavy Cream

Nuvo

Method:

Fill a large wine glass with ice. Add Frangelico and heavy cream. Fill the glass with chilled Nuvo and stir. Garnish with a strawberry.

Sparkling Eva

Ingredients:

1 part Chilled Nuvo

1 part Champagne

Method:

Mix both ingredients together and serve in a champagne glass. Garnish with a sliced strawberry or cherry.

In the Caribbean, Nuvo will be endorsed by Jamaican divas Marion “Lady Saw” Hall and Latifa “Tifa” Brown. Consumers will be captivated by the innovative displays that support Nuvo in the outlets this Valentine’s and throughout the year.
