Intercepting phone calls
Dear Editor,
As intelligence services can and do utilise satellite-based and land-based technologies for intercepting telephone calls without interconnect access to local carriers, can our legal luminaries advise how this affects the applicability of the much-discussed MOUs under the relevant Act governing these interceptions? Also, would interceptions so gathered be deemed illegal, and if so, in which jurisdiction?
