Wrong can’t be right. Having read on the internet the sexually explicit vulgarism that former MP Everald Warmington is reported to have hurled at CVM’s Kerlyn Brown and Garfield Burford, I am appalled and disgusted that JLP leaders agree that this man is a fit and proper representative to run as JLP candidate in the SW St Catherine by-election.

Mr Warmington’s reported verbal assault is the most recent of a long string of abusive behaviour, including outbursts in Parliament and rants against the media. As a former SW St Catherine citizen, I am embarrassed to admit that I voted for this man who abuses the privilege of being put forward to represent decent citizens.

JLP leaders need to explain immediately the public conduct criteria they used to screen Mr Warmington and to arrive at their decision to put him forward as the party candidate, knowing what they know about the man’s public behaviour.

Well-thinking, decent Jamaicans everywhere need to know this.
