Leak damages Kingston water supply
THE National Water Commission (NWC) is advising customers in sections of Kingston who are served by the Mona Treatment Plant, that they will continue to experience low water pressure and no water conditions today due to problems being experienced with the repair of the broken main on Arthur Wint Drive.
Areas that are affected include:
Mona, Cross Roads, Mountain View, Old Hope Road, Devon Square, Waterloo Road, Cassia Park, Eastwood Park, Half-Way Tree Road, Upper Maxfield Avenue, New Kingston, Liguanea, Mona Road, Ravina, Hagley Park Road, Harbour View, Shooters Hill and Bull Bay.
The NWC said in a statement that it is making every effort is being made to complete the necessary repairs and restore normal water supply to the affected areas.
Meantime, the commission is also reporting that some customers served by the Constant Spring Treatment Plant will experience a disruption in their water supply tomorrow, between the hours of 8:00 pm and 4:00 am. This disruption is to facilitate repairs to a 16-inch main on the distribution network. Customers who are served by this system are therefore being urged to store water for the period of disruption.

Constant Spring, Havendale, Half-Way-Tree, Manor Park, White Hall Gardens, Belgrade, Kingswood, Eastwood Park Gardens, Hughenden, Stillwell Road, Constant Spring Road & Gardens, Camperdown, Mannings Hill Road, Red Hills Road, Arlene Gardens, Roehampton, Smokey Vale, Chancery Hall, Trench Town, Calabar Mews, Zaidie Gardens and State Gardens.
