Rush to purchase remaining ‘Champs’ tickets
Competition starts on Wednesday
DOZENS of people are braving the hot sun in a queue outside the National Stadium, to purchase the last 1,000 tickets for the widely popular and internationally acclaimed ISSA/GraceKennedy Boys’ and Girls’ Championships.
‘Champs’ 2011 will be the 101st staging of the track and field event, which is held at the National Stadium in Kingston on a yearly basis.
Some of the greatest athletes in the world have developed on the track at the national stadium, Usain Bolt being one of the greatest to ever grace the track since his days as a youngster.
Champs 2011 will be held from this Wednesday until Saturday and will feature schools from across the island.
